Just sent off the Picador catalog cover to the printers. This marks the start of Picador's 10th anniversary. I didn't have a lot of time to spend on this project. I had to come up with something quick and simple. I hired PhilDog to do up some sketches. I wanted it to look like you were signing a kids birthday card and wanted to keep the drawing style simple. Told Phil to think of birthday parties, 10 years and books. He emailed me this page. I love the whole page of sketches he sent me. I worked up some sketches using the whole page as a wallpaper effect, but I decided to keep it simple.
