Went to a fun party at Schiller's Liquor Bar in the Lower East Side and met my old Art Director Louise F. and a bunch of friends. We were there to celebrate Roberto de V. and Matteo's new book project for Adobe InDesign.
They created a series of portraits of well-known authors illustrated typographically by using a single font in Adobe InDesign.
Check out the Flash site for the book @ Words at Play. I can't wait till we switch over to InDesign. It looks like you can execute your ideas so much easier than in Quark.
This new work is a continuation of an idea that Roberto begun with his beautiful children's book called Bembo's Zoo. He created playful illustrations of animals using only the letters in its name typeset in the typeface Bembo. So inventive.
