Remembrance of Snows Past

Jenn from Niceville found her very first snowstorm magical. She didn't know what to expect. In Florida, when you hear a storm is coming, you imagine gusty winds, thunder and lightning, lots of noise and plenty of trepidation. But she said that this storm appeared overnight and made everything beautiful. Seeing it through her eyes made me remember why I love snow. Snow usually starts right before you go to bed. Just a light dusting before you close your eyes. Nights are so quiet. And when you wake, the world is blanketed in blinding white powder. Tree limbs are covered, sharp edges are made round and deep shadows are made blue. You wake up to magic. And the world is oh so quiet.
