My party was a Super blast. Everyone brought in a 6 pack of something to drink including Nestle Quik and milk, courtesy of Moira, and a big platter of something to eat. Steve and his wife Marlene made a guacamole, bean, and cheese dip, Jenny made cupcakes w/ alternating letters of "D" and a Fence, Dave & Simone brought these skeezy cheeses, Machu brought some healthy white bean dip and blue chips, Celvyn brought Beard Papa’s cream filled puff pastries and broken bits of tortilla chips, Kathy brought Entenmann's Valentine cookies, Cara made GORP with raisins, Erin brought gummy bears, and I picked up 120 Buffalo wings with extra ranch dressing. People were still doing last minute filling in of betting pool boxes. Even Scott called in from Ithaca for a box. I was so busy mixing drinks and talking to people that I didn’t get to watch the game despite my 50" HD Kick Ass TV. For some it was their first time seeing my place. Friends brought their friends and it was cool meeting them. It was raucous at times with people cheering the game and people cheering their beers. We took cigarette breaks on the rooftop overlooking my awesome city view in the bitter wind. Jen showed me her beautiful charm bracelet which I now appreciate. After the game, most stayed to watch Gray's Anatomy with more enthusiasm than the Superbowl. I still have leftover chicken wings and a fridge filled with beer. Mmm. Breakfast. A Super time was had.
And congratulations to Pete GarStrong, The big winner of the Superbowl pool.
