LeeAnn was working the ASPCA adoption truck this Sunday in Union Square and I passed by to say hi. In one of the windows was this guy on his back with his legs propped up against the window. Just kicking back. I went in to rub his paw and he immediately rolled into my hand, so playful and affectionate. What a cutie. His name is Boris the cat and he's the color of natural wood with pale green eyes. He reminded me of a bentwood Eames chair or IKEA furniture. He's not a kitten but that also means his affectionate personality is set. I left to run some errands and came back later to see him. I really wanted to adopt him. But I just couldn't. I just met him and couldn't impulse adopt. I guess I'm not OK yet with having all of my furniture scratched up, cat pee and fur all over me. But maybe if he's still waiting for me next week, I'll take him home. He'd be a fun guy to have around.
This is his ASPCA CatSpace page.

We fostered our kittens first to see if we all got along. Can you do that? Sort of a trial run?
Get a scratching post and clean the litter box regularly and you shouldn't have any issues. We never have. Just an overly affecionate cat and a bitchy one.
Wow, you really just might do it. Big step. Good job!
man it would have been real cute, you and boris at nobu, thinking the same thing, "do you have toro?"
get that cat!
