Happy Mother of Pearl Day

Sunday I went to work but couldn't get much done. Karen also came in and couldn't get much done either. Eva was meeting her downstairs to go food shopping. I asked them if perhaps they wanted to get a bite to eat instead. "Hamburgers at Corner Bistro?" was the magic phrase. It was really nice out so we walked down to SOHO. When we got to the Apple Store, oysters came up and that magically became our new craving. Maybe just 3 oysters and then cab up to corner bistro. The only place in SOHO for oysters I could think of was Aquagrill. It was just down the block. It was here where I had oysters for the first time. It was for Kuo's birthday. They were so incredible. No reservations so we sat at the bar by the oyster shuckers. We ordered a selection of a dozen Atlantic and Pacifics. They looked so good that I upped it to 18, and some Ketel One martinis straight up with olives. yuuuuumm. They did not disappoint. Our faves were the Kumomoto, Belon, and Westcott Bays. The atmosphere was great and relaxing and the thought of leaving and then waiting on line for hamburgers seemed too much to disturb the good mood. We decided to stay and order more food at the bar. Seared diver scallops w/ crabmeat rissotto, and salmon carpaccio, follow by another round of drinks, followed by strawberry shortcake and a chocolate something. nice. And I got home just in time to watch the ending of the Survivor finale. Amber, a word of advice, Boston Rob knew he was gonna lose so he proposed to you to ensure he get some money somehow. He's still playing you.
