Time to get a new messenger bag. I usually buy cheap $20 bags off Canal Street or the GAP, but I saw this Jack Spade bag in SOHO. Real clean design with the strap attached to the bag at an angle, 2 side vented zip up pockets to hold my future iPod and colorful interiors. These bags are designed by the husband of Kate Spade and the brother of Just Shoot Me's David Spade. I always buy black. But went daring and chose the gray with fluorescent orange interior. I also bought a new wallet. It's pretty cool looking. The outer leather is perforated. The store itself was decorated with Picador and Jason Fulford books.
As I was leaving, I bumped into the actor Peter Sarsgaard, who was great in Boys Don't Cry and Shattered Glass. He was with his girlfriend Maggie Gyllenhaal who was in Donnie Darko and Secretary. They look so regular, out for a stroll. Hey, stay clear of my gray bag. I hear the black one is very popular.
