Lost weekend

I stayed in all weekend. I was not motiviated to go outside at all with all the snowing going on. Olga text messaged me about her arctic adventures and was hoping that the city would be closed next week for fun. She took some beautiful, apocalyptic looking images of empty snow covered streets all around the East Village. I did get dressed to go out. But changed my mind. I just laid down on my couch and watched TV. It was great. I felt so relaxed. Watched The Graduate and To Kill a Mockingbird. Such great, great movies. The Olympics opening ceremony was beat though. I was looking forward to it but it was so odd. Instead of Apolo Ohno, we get Yoko Ono. And the hopefuls aren't doing so well. Apolo, Bode, Kwan. Maybe as the weeks events go on, I'll get into it. Emily is flying off to Torino / Turin, Italy / Italia, on Wednesday. She's going to attend some of the sporting events. I'll be on the lookout for a cute redhead in the audience.
Gee, I feel a little bit like a loser for staying in.

oh don't feel bad- i think it's what almost everyone who wasn't either sledding, shoveling or drinking was doing. it's what snow days are for!
