Very scary and very sad. I came to work and learned that a former editor and the wife of our former CEO/Publisher went missing over the weekend while they were riding their bikes. We had fliers made up and plastered it all over the city. Thank God she was quickly found. But I fear it's only signs of things to come. Here's a thankful letter from her husband Tom.
A happy ending.

Please stress to all the team it was a flyer that did it. A young woman from ABC at 67th and Columbus ran across the street to get a coffee at Starbucks, saw the poster, turned around and saw Sandra. She called me on her cell. The sniping worked within minutes; we know, because members of the poster-team were still within sight. Indeed, the sketchy way it was described suggests they too spotted Sandra just as our housekeepers arrived to bring her home.
As for Sandra, she is beaming and looks wonderful. Obviously there are lots of kind people out there. Her recall is extremely unsure, but she says she slept in a bed last night, and apparently somebody bought her breakfast this morning. She always did bring out the best in people!
