We had our 1st jacket presentation meeting of the Fall 2004 season today. Our meeting was interrupted when the author of one of the books I designed, Justice for None, came in for a visit. It was the Oscar Award winning actor Gene Hackman. I shook his hand but I was too stunned to say anything. He looked like a big movie star. He looked the same as in his movies except that he was standing in the doorway of our tiny packed conference room. So humble, he didn't want to interupt our meeting. This sure beats meeting the author of Knitting with Dog Hair.
