My Star Wars Trilogy DVDs came in from Amazon. WHoo Hoo. Along with a whole mess of other DVDs:
The Princess Bride, Inconceivable!, La Dolce Vita, I've been waiting for this on DVD for a long time, Angels in America, I don't get cable, and Star Trek: The Original Series, hot green alien babes.

Eventually I'm gonna have like 10 different versions of the oringal star wars trilogy in various formats VHS, DVD, Remastered and original versions of all...
Then you've got all the toys and the 3 new episodes.

Hi Mary, It's crazy how many versions of this I have already. But I am glad I have the original VHS box set. It's the only way to see the movie as they originally released in the theaters. Without all the added ships, noises and Jabba. And Han shoots first. What I loved about the original was that it was so much a product of the 70s. It had that slight strain of nihilism. Tatooine looked so bleak and boring, I wanted to get off that planet to seek something to do. Instead of wasting those long double sun summer days hanging out with losers at Toshi's station.
