Happy Fall everyone. It became my favorite time of the year at 12:30pm. Just in time for lunch. We were trying to figure out where to go for lunch. Nothing was calling us. LeeAnn asked about the metal Shake Shack across the street in Madison Square Park. They have really good shakes. It's created by Danny Meyer. He also owns Gramercy Tavern, 11 Madison and other restaurants that I love. But the lines are so long. Where should we eat? Hey why not just go to the Shake Shack. The lines were long but there were 2 registers and it moved pretty fast. So hungry. Ordered a cheeseburger which was one of the tastiest burger I've had in a long while, fries that were crispedy on the outside and mash potatoey on the inside, and topped that with a large caramel shake. Damn that was good. I also ordered a Chicago styled hot dog which were great a year ago but weren't that good. The meat to bread ratio was off. too much pickles and peppers to dog. But damn that caramel shake is good.

Lines everywhere
AUTUMN TIME IS HERE!

The AIGA had an opening for their 50 Books, 50 Covers exhibits. We all wanted to go but none of us were were AIGA members so no invites. The person working the front door was not letting anyone in without an invite or on the guestlist. Karen pulled out a small yellow Post-it note with her just expired membership ID number written on it but that had no effect on the door person. So we just bullied our way in. Some beautiful book covers were chosen. Some of Kelly's at Little Brown, Gabrielle at Knopf and as always John at Vintage were on the walls. It was fun catching up with my friends and colleagues. Some I speak to often on the phone but only see once a year. It was getting hot in the space so I wanted to leave. I introduced LeeAnn to Marc. He thought he met her already and in fact had taken our picture together. What? Oh. He mistakened LeeAnn with she who must not be named. Big Dif. I was surprised that one of my covers was in the show. We Took the Streets was a cover that I Art Directed Kevin B to design. Congratulations all.
