Dinner was Goody

After work I met up with John G. for dinner at the Blue Water Grill. I really haven't seen him since he left SMP 2 years ago. He works out on Long Island and has 2 kids so it's hard to make plans. The main dining room was booked till after 8 so we were seated in the jazz room downstairs. I've never ate in the downstairs area and it was very nice. A bass and jazz guitar duo were playing standards in the background. That hollow body guitar sound is unmistakably mellow. It was great catching up over lobster and martinis. Very comfortable. Maybe one day he'll get a job back in the city, then next time it won't take 2 years to meet up.

all I noticed was that you like to eat. Well fear not, for I also like to eat. But being the simpleton that I am I cannot afford to go out to eat much and when I do it tends to be through a small window and I happen to be in my car.

I like to sleep too. One time when I was about ten, I fell out of the top bunk bed. I was soo tired that I just absorbed the pain and fell back to sleep right where I landed. I also wrote a science report around the same time putting out the theory that the natural state of humans was sleep, that we struggle to stay awake. And because why else would it feel so good.
