Take cover. Shooting in progess

I asked LeeAnn and Rob to come and observe a photo shoot I was art directing this morning. We were shooting a portrait of C, a former Crips gang member. The only member allowed to quit the gang. I was a little nervous meeting him but he was very charming. He now works for Ice-T's record label and Ice was going to come by but he had to do pick up shots for Law and Order. I was hoping he showed up so that we could discuss his performance in Tank Girl and what it was like working with the young Naomi Watts. C was limping slightly and told me that he was shot in the leg. He showed me the scars where he took a Glock shot in his side and where a bullet went through the top of his skull. I asked him if he knew his attacker. Was it a rival Blood gang member? No, it was his brother trying to extort money from him. Ker-Wazee. We went to the rooftop and posed him against the clear blue sky. We sot it so that no buildings would show and give away that we were in NY and not LA. He's very photogenic and final film is going to look awesome.

Kuo came by work so that we could go over his Picador website design with our marketing director. It's still rough. Mostly because we don't have all the content for the opening splash page. But it's looking good. Especially the individual book pages.

We had a little congratulatory send off party for Keith for his upcoming marriage to Danielle this Saturday. Here's to sex with the same woman. ;)
